DARA Extension in now in the Chrome Web Store

The Immutable Network ($DARA) is proud to announce the release of the DARA Chromium desktop browser extension in the Google Chrome Web Store.

DARA is a decentralized publishing platform, and the release of the DARA Extension is the first major milestone in its development.

The DARA desktop browser extension allows users to permanently save articles, blogs, tweets, and other content like Wikipedia entries, to the DARA platform.

DARA Extension makes perfect copies of content and saves them to IPFS while recording the IPFS hashes to Binance Smart Chain (BSC). The blockchain serves as an immutable database for the stored content, and also authenticates ownership.

A user may freely save to IPFS, and to guarantee immutability pay in $DARA token to cover the transaction fees for recording the IPFS hashes onto Binance Smart Chain (BSC).

At launch, DARA Extension will work with certain approved websites. Whitelisted domains will rapidly grow in number, and users will be able to submit websites for approval.

Medium, Substack and Wordpress users are the target audience at launch, with all these domains being whitelisted. Twitter is also whitelisted.

The scope of the DARA Extension goes well beyond blogging and tweets, and includes educational resources such as Wikipedia. Ultimately, DARA is capable of perfectly saving virtually any web content. Use-cases include (re)publishing articles, document archival, and website preservation.

As already mentioned, this extension is the first major milestone. In future, DARA will feature user profiles, writing tools, and monetisation and licensing for published works, thereby creating a cohesive publishing ecosystem.

About The Immutable Network

The Immutable Network was founded in May 2021 by a cryptocurrency columnist who published on the now defunct thedailychain.com news site. Rather than republishing his work conventionally, he founded The Immutable in an attempt to provide simple and easily accessible products for mass preservation of documents, by properly packaging cutting-edge technology for mass adoption.

The Immutable Network completed its $DARA token presale on BSC in August 2021. NKN (New Kind of Network) founder Zheng Li is an angel investor.

Sunny King, the inventor of proof-of-stake, partnered with The Immutable Network to create a second project, the world’s first dictionary on a blockchain (live testnet running since February).

DARA development is led by The Immutable Network’s project director, who has worked in IT/Telecom/Network Security since the late 90s, including the team that launched Familiar Linux with Compaq/HP Cambridge Research Lab.

The Immutable will build out the DARA publishing platform, and aims to create more products which will use it’s unique freemium profit-sharing model, in which $DARA token holders receive dividends like shareholders.
